Hello friend, thank you for your continued interest in this exciting radio project. The attorneys for the selling corporation have composed their contract and sent it to me. I have forwarded that contract to our attorney, an Adventist man (for whom we praise the Lord) who specializes in FCC regulations. He has helped many Adventists get their stations on the air. Currently the attorneys are negotiating back and forth in the best interest of their clients.
Our board of directors has filed their forms with the FCC which basically state that they do not have a share in any other broadcast company. The FCC does not want one person or board to hold licenses for hundreds of stations hidden under various non-profit entities. These forms will allow the FCC to determine whether or not to grant us a license to broadcast. Please keep this in prayer; we need more stations broadcasting truth!
We are in a waiting game as the FCC processes our applications. I think God is timing everything perfectly. Although we all wish that the station was on the air yesterday, the Lord’s timing knows no haste and no delay.
A New Website In the meantime, I’m working on the new website to make it as easy to find updates and to donate online. Right now our greatest need in that regard is to have a simple way for donors to find updates and be able to make donations online.
Once the radio station is on the air the website will be a wonderful place to share truth with those who are tuning in. We will begin to tailor the site to be a connecting link to other helpful ministries such as Amazing Facts, It Is Written, etc. We also hope to accept prayer requests through an online form and then share those requests with prayer partners in the listening area.
Unity In Mission From the largest donation received to the little check tucked into my hand by an older woman at church one Sabbath, this project has been a team effort. People who do not know us personally, nor know one other, have united around a common purpose: to shine behind the Redwood Curtain the light of truth. God and His mission truly is the center and we are simply gathering around Him and His project of getting this radio station on the air. We all are committed to this goal, and this is what binds us together and keeps us moving forward.
In order to send those invisible radio waves into the darkness, we need supporters who wish to commit to monthly donations. The cost of keeping the station on air is about $2,500 per month. Since the station will broadcast to three counties, I believe that we can find the necessary support among the faithful as well as the churches in the area. God can touch hearts to give. He is faithful, always.
